Nearly 60 people gathered at the Myrtle Beach Education Center on the morning of Thursday, April 26, for the fourth Chanticleer Intelligence Brief Symposium. The event featured timely updates about some of the world’s most critical hot spots by a panel of CIB Analysts. It was held in conjunction with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Coastal Carolina University, and supported by the Edwards College of Humanities and Arts at CCU.
Members of the Chanticleer Intelligence Brief (CIB) met for the culmination of the semester on April 25, to recognize the hard work of officers, analysts and members, and to renew their pledge to make the organization even stronger in the coming year. This was the fifth CIB Banquet, in the tradition of the group’s first-ever banquet, which was held in May of 2016. As always, the event featured free food provided to all CIB members, which was enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.
For the spring 2018 semester, the CIB invites the organization’s membership to meet on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in room CSCC 300 of the Coastal Science Center Complex, located across US 501, at 679 Allied Drive, Conway, SC 29576. The first meeting of the semester will be on Wednesday, January 17.

Over 100 students majoring in a variety of subjects attended the first two meetings of the year hosted by the Chanticleer Intelligence Brief. Nearly 70 came on Wednesday, August 31, in room 300 of the Coastal Science Center, to attend CIB’s inaugural meeting for the 2016-2017 academic year. Another 50 returned for the group’s second meeting on September 7 at the same location.
Close to 120 Coastal Carolina University students signed up with the Chanticleer Intelligence Brief on Wednesday, August 24, during CCU’s semi-annual Club Recruitment Day.
