Madison Nowlin first joined the CIB in the spring of 2016. Since that time, she has served the organization from multiple positions. As of September 12 of this year, Madison is studying International Relations at Narxoz University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where she will be staying until December 18. Fifth CIB Banquet celebrates semester’s hard work
Members of the Chanticleer Intelligence Brief (CIB) met for the culmination of the semester on April 25, to recognize the hard work of officers, analysts and members, and to renew their pledge to make the organization even stronger in the coming year. This was the fifth CIB Banquet, in the tradition of the group’s first-ever banquet, which was held in May of 2016. CIB holds its third symposium at the Myrtle Beach Education Center
Over 70 people gathered at the Myrtle Beach Education Center on the morning of Thursday, December 7, for the third Chanticleer Intelligence Brief Symposium. The event featured timely updates about some of the world’s most critical hot spots by a panel of CIB Analysts. It was held in conjunction with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Coastal Carolina University, and supported by the Edwards College of Humanities and Arts at Coastal Carolina University. Militants with links to Islamic State apprehended in Russia
Ten people with reported ties to the Islamic State were arrested in Russia over the weekend. The planned attacks come in the wake of Russia’s recent bombardment of Syria, and this development adds confidence to the statement that Russia’s internal security has suffered as a result of their involvement in the Syrian Civil War.
